A Vision Births A Movement
The Harvest Connection Church Of God In Christ was founded in January 2015 under the leadership of Pastor Linear A. Akines. What began as a prayerful vision quickly blossomed into a vibrant community of believers passionate about worship, outreach, and spiritual growth.
Starting with just a handful of members, the church was birthed with a mission to connect souls to Christ and empower lives through the Word of God. Pastor Akines, recognizing the need for an authentic, Spirit-led ministry, began teaching and preaching with a focus on biblical truth, faith, and transformation. Through consistent prayer, bold faith, and dedicated service, The Harvest
Connection has expanded its impact, establishing ministries for men, women, youth, and community outreach.
Our Leader
Pastor Linear A. Akines, Th.d
Pastor Linear Alexander Akines is a family man, scholar, visionary, and pastor who has profoundly influenced thousands of lives through his ministry, prayer, and dedicated service. His pastoral passion is deeply rooted in his love for urban communities and his commitment to teaching others how to strengthen their relationship with God.
He began his ministry in 1996 as a young philanthropist in Bakersfield, California, organizing "True Word Ministries," a non-profit youth organization. He later served as a youth pastor at a local church for many years.
Pastor Akines was licensed and ordained in the Churches of God in Christ under the late General Board Member, Bishop W. W. Hamilton. These formative experiences paved the way for him to lead what would become Harvest Connection Church of God in Christ.
Today, Pastor Akines is the founder and lead pastor of The Harvest Connection Church of God in Christ, a multicultural church in Central Fresno, California. The church fosters a family environment, with members dedicated to serving God and the community.
In addition to his pastoral duties, Pastor Akines is committed to helping veterans, service members, and others achieve their vocational potential. He provides vocational evaluation, counseling, and rehabilitation services and serves as the Chair for the Central Valley Veterans Employment Committee.
Within the Churches of God in Christ, Pastor Akines serves as a Servant Leader in the National Adjutancy Core under the Adjutant General Bishop Dickerson L. S. Wells. He was also selected to serve in the Office of the Scribe under the current administration, led by Presiding Bishop J. Drew Sheard.
As a scholar, Pastor Akines holds a degree in Clinical Administration and Psychology and an Honorary Doctorate of Divinity. He is currently on track to receiving a doctorate in Psychology.
